About our Classes

There are more than a dozen sanctioned training agencies that all adhere to an overseeing body (The Recreational Scuba Training Council’s) standard set of skills. Scuba Marco uses PADI (Professional Association of Dive Instructors) as our training agency. They are the world's largest and most recognized training agency. That’s because their online E-Learning is second to none, they provide excellent support and customer service to both the shop and our students, and they care about the earth and our environment. They truly are stewards in promoting healthy oceans and their ecosystems.

Everyone at Scuba Marco is fully vested in helping you complete your training objectives and flourish as a diver. The underwater world is wonderful and amazing and the group of people exploring it (scuba divers) is a unique blend of people.  We that tend to love nature and water, seek excitement and adventure, and are kind and nurturing to each other and the fabulous world that thrives beneath the surface of the sea. We look forward to and it excites us to help our students become part of and integrate into this awesome community!

No Hurries No Worries, No Troubles Just Bubbles!!  That has been the motto at Scuba Marco since day one. Every potential new diver is unique. Differing abilities, concerns, schedules, and comfort levels are some examples of that. Working with smaller classes (usually 4 maximum) allows us to address each student's needs on an individual basis. Getting comfortable breathing under water is what it’s all about and some people get there faster than others. Remember, at Scuba Marco patience and kindness are always free!

Obtaining your Open Water Diver Certification (joining the cool club as as Capt. Jeff likes to say) is the first step in opening the door to endless underwater possibilities. You can build a career around scuba diving. You can also be content to strap on a tank to drop down 25 feet, check out all the colorful fishes and forget about the world for a while. Some of our students end up becoming scuba instructors. Of course there are multiple additional courses to take if you go that route. Scuba Marco offers all of them through Divemaster (which allows you to enter an Instructor Development Course). Even if you have no intention of teaching scuba we strongly recommend taking the Advanced Open Water Diver and Rescue Diver course after earning your Open Water Certification.  There are a number of additional Specialty Courses that enable you to fine tune and focus your underwater skills to become a confident and reliable diver.

We are here for you every step of the way. Please feel free to call, email, or stop by the shop if you have any questions about our extensive training opportunities. We love the underwater realm and love training new divers to enter it. Let us introduce to the diving community as part of the Scuba Marco family!
