How long has it been since your last dive? A year or two? Ten? Whether you're planning to join us on our boat, or in preparation for a destination vacation, it's always a good idea to brush up on your skills before getting back underwater. Don't let pride get in the way of safety! Everyone forgets things over time, and even the most experienced divers may need to be reacquainted with new equipment and scuba diving technology. We can happily answer any questions you might have and help you become comfortable blowing bubbles again.
A scuba refresher course is highly recommended if it's been more than a year since your last dive, and typically required if it's been longer than 2 years. Scuba equipment and safety standards are constantly being reviewed, updated and improved. Here at Scuba Marco safety & fun go hand in hand: We want our divers to love scuba diving as much as we do, and the only way to do that is to be safe while doing so.
Our pool refresher is typically 2-3 hours. The cost for a private session is $199, for 2 people $175 each, and for 3 or more people $150. Walk-ins are welcome, but advanced notice is preferred, especially during busy times of the year.
If it has been longer than 5 years we highly recommend you refresh your basic scuba knowledge with the PADI ReActivate online course. Whether you just need a few reminders or want a more comprehensive review, this program provides an engaging, prescriptive refresher of scuba principles and procedures.
The program has two components: 1) A knowledge review that includes interacting with ReActivate eLearning and 2) A dive skills pool refresher you complete with a Scuba Marco. After successfully completing both components, a PADI Diver receives a replacement certification card showing a “ReActivated Thru” date. Divers initially certified through other training organizations (with proof of at least an entry-level certification) receive ReActivate Recognition Cards.
