Diving the Gulf of Mexico is unique and rewarding; check out 'About Gulf Diving'. When we have at least decent conditions (visibility) and 4-5 divers we schedule trips just a couple days prior. We take a maximum of just 6 divers aboard the Psychquatic. Call or email us to be added to our 'Planner'. Departure times vary based on the tides. Divers meet here at the shop where we will sign releases and fulfill any rental gear needs. Don't forget your certification card! However, if you did we can usually look up your diver information online. You can leave your dive gear in your car and we will shuttle it to the boat, which leaves from just around the corner at the Snook Inn's dock. Prices listed are for divers who are Open Water certified and above, and include 2 tanks, weights, snacks and non-alcoholic refreshments. And in case you forgot your scuba equipment at home, don't worry, we have a full rental department here ready to help out! Our trips our mostly Near Shore or Middle Ground if the conditions are better there. Offshore trips require 6 people, let us know if your group is interested and we will try to fill all 6 spots.
When dive conditions are good close in, near shore trips are fantastic. The boat ride is short and the depths are shallow which means more bottom time and less travel time. All the species which can be seen further out can also be seen nearshore including our massive Goliath grouper! Depths typically range from 25 to 40 feet. Trip time is approximately 4.5 hours.

At times the visibility close to shore can get pretty stirred up. When this happens we run to the middle-ground to find clearer water beyond the wash out zone. There is an excellent mix of artificial reefs and wrecks in this range. Intermediate depths range from 40 to 55+ feet and yield good bottom times. Trip time is approximately 5 hours.

We have several unique dive sites & wrecks in this range. The longer run out is generally rewarded with better visibility. Depths start at 55 feet and our deepest site, the Blue Hole, is a bottomless wall dive. These trips run about 6 hours. Call for details.
We will put your contact info and dates of availability into our planner. We will call to confirm a charter 1 or 2 days in advance IF WE ARE ABLE TO SCHEDULE (based on dive conditions and if we have the required number of divers). When we confirm a trip we request a Visa, MC, or Discover to commit to those spots. Payment (above or cash) will be collected prior to departure. Cancellations after deposits are taken will be charged the boat fee unless we can fill the spot(s). So let us know ASAP if your plans change.
